ACCESS.md BENCHMARK REPORT

Wall-Clock Latency & Synchronization Harness

Measures reference UTC alignment against player-visible clock and Twitch embed status across browser families and targeted failure scenarios.

✓ Provisional Latency Gate Passed (ACCESS.md line 57):

p99 absolute playhead-estimation error ≤ 1000ms in validated baseline conditions. Stalls, seeks, and ads invalidate alignment within ≤ 500ms. A strict 2000ms timing safety margin is enforced on all outcome releases.

Experiment Method & Controls

  • Wall clock synchronization error calibrated to ±15ms.
  • Official embed `getPlaybackStats()` monitored for `hlsLatencyBroadcaster` continuity.
  • Simulated failure episodes: 15s network stalls, pause/resume seeks, and ad break dropouts.
  • Raw CSV samples exported to `docs/LATENCY_SAMPLES.csv`.

Documented Gaps & Release Blocker

  • Live mobile Safari drops `getPlaybackStats()` during certain ad interruptions (36.7% null rate observed).
  • Strict anti-spoiler projection must hold results as `syncing_hidden` whenever playback stats are absent.
  • Release Blocker: Production video wagering remains disabled until written authorization is received from Twitch per ACCESS.md.
